Ziel der Studie ist es zu untersuchen, inwieweit ein Einsatz von mystischen Lehren und Übungen in der öffentlichen Schule erachtenswert erscheint.
Core questions also hit the education sector: What is education really about? Are exams the most relevant? What about the social factor of school life?
Obviously, RE as a subject in public education is not exempt from being put to this acid test. The magnifying glass of the pandemic offers the unique chance to discern more closely, what really counts in terms of RE when things get tough.
In times of crisis, we can discover the best and the worst about ourselves. This research project aims at contributing to this goal by collecting reflections on this from all over Europe – to make them fruitful for the future of RE – regarding the question: What does Covid-19 reveal to RE specialists?
The outputs of the project include a self-reflective tool for teachers to reflect on their competences regarding plurilingual pedagogies and global citizenship education, an online toolkit and a “training and implementation manual for teacher educators” (GCMC Website, 2023)
My role in this project is “Associated partner”, which includes giving feedback on the materials developed for the project.
