Beschreibung

This edited volume emerges from the proceedings of the European Character Virtues Association’s international conference in June 2023. It is edited by Roland Bernhard (KPH Vienna/Krems), Veronica Fernandez (Universidad Francisco de Vitoria, Madrid), and Kristján Kristjánsson (Jubilee Centre for Character and Virtues, University of Birmingham). The objective of the book is to provide a comprehensive overview of the challenges and opportunities associated with cultivating positive character traits in educational institutions in European countries. It aims to explore the diverse perspectives, experiences, and practices related to character education, incorporating insights from researchers and practitioners representing different European nations (United Kingdom, Austria, Germany, Italy, Spain, Check Republic, Slovakia, Latvia, Estonia, Portugal, Sweden and Iceland).
